2025年是孙中山先生逝世100周年。近日，孙中山曾侄孙女、孙中山文化基金会会长孙雅丽回到位于中山市翠亨村的孙中山故居缅怀先辈，但见孙中山当年亲手种下的酸子树今年已142岁，依旧以卧龙之态“守护”着孙中山故居。作为中山市唯一入选《中华古树名木大全》的一棵名木，这棵古树不仅是孙中山先生早年投身革命的历史见证，也承载着其“振兴中华”的理想信念与“植树强国”的生态实践，并作为文化交流的媒介，将孙中山精神播撒至更广阔的天地。十多年来，由母树种子培育而成的酸子树苗在海内外多个孙中山纪念场所、学校和公园落地生根，成为传承历史文脉、凝聚家国情怀的“绿色使者”。
